The Scottish government has announced the UK’s first integrated health and social care workforce plan.
Created in partnership with COSLA (the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities), the plan sets out how health and social care services will meet growing demand and ensure there are enough staff with the right skills across both services.
Reacting to the news, Ravi Bains, Chief Executive of Grosvenor Health and Social Care, said:
“Great to see the Scottish government setting out the UK’s first integrated health & social care workforce plan.
“It is only through an integrated approach, including on budget, that could put a stop to the delays and gaps in care that occur when councils and the NHS can’t agree.”
