Ravi Bains launches new social care venture, Five Rivers Care Group

Leading social care entrepreneur and Founder of Grosvenor Health and Social Care, Ravi Bains, has announced the launch of a new social care venture, the Five Rivers Care Group.

The Five Rivers Care Group has been created to bring together two complementary social care companies with the same core values – Liberty Support Services and Yorhealth care. Liberty Support is a specialist supported living provider for people with learning disabilities and complex care needs, and Yorhealth, rated outstanding for Caring with CQC, offers nurse-led complex health care for children and young people.

Five Rivers Care Group, which has national coverage, has already demonstrated its excellence in care provision having received an outstanding CQC rating. Its long-term ambition is to achieve 100 per cent outstanding ratings across all of its services, by the promotion of the Group’s core values of honesty, community and caring for others.

A team of high calibre professionals have been recruited, with an extensive range of expertise and experience in delivering exceptional care. Ravi Bains will oversee strategic developments as Founder and Chairman and will be working alongside James Guy (Chief Operating Officer), Sue Ridley (Head of Operations for Social Care), Liz Webster (RGN and Head of Operations for Health Care) and Phil Talbot ACA (Interim Finance Director).

The Group currently employs around 400 people, both support workers and office based, and plans to expand further in the next 12 months potentially employing a further 200 people.

Ravi Bains, Founder of the Five Rivers Care Group, said:

“I am delighted to be launching the Five Rivers Care Group, which has been three years in the pipeline. Our goal is to provide person-centred specialist health, learning disability and complex care services that are tailored to individual needs, placing our service users at the centre of everything we do.

“Thanks to the incredible hard work from the team at Grosvenor HSC and our recent appointments to the senior leadership team and Board of Directors, I have been able to take a step back into a Board Member role for the organisation. I am now focusing on the launch of the Five Rivers Group with the aim of becoming one of the leading healthcare and supported living providers for people with learning disabilities in the UK.

“I would also like to thank all of my brilliant colleagues across the health and social care sectors who do an amazing job each and every day and particularly for their fantastic response and efforts during the recent pandemic.”
