Celebrating National Homecare Day

Today is National Homecare Day, which is a celebration of the incredible work provided by the home care across the UK.

National Homecare Day this year is particularly poignant. The coronavirus pandemic put the health and social care sector under extreme pressure and strain. Yet, carers across the country went above and beyond, putting themselves in harm’s way to ensure that they continued to deliver excellent care to those in need.

Discussing the significance of Homecare Day, Ravi Bains said:

“Homecare Day has never been more important. The coronavirus crisis has shown us just how vital our health and social care sector is, with homecare being a lifeline for so many people who need support.

“I would like to personally pay tribute to all carers for their phenomenal work this year. They should be enormously proud of themselves for their invaluable contribution and personal sacrifices made in order to continue caring.

“I would also like to thank all of my colleagues at Grosvenor Health and Social care in particular for an exceptional year.”
