Sevacare

Having grown up in inner city Black Country, Ravi identified the failure of mainstream homecare providers to recognise and address the needs of BAME communities. This, and Ravi’s sense of community spirit, ‘seva,’ in Punjabi, inspired him to found domiciliary care provider Sevacare in 1998 following a career in the property sector. His goal was to fulfil the unmet care needs in his local community.

Grosvenor Health and Social Care

Sevacare quickly expanded from its humble beginnings in his parents’ garage to become a mainstream homecare provider with offices throughout the Midlands. After tremendous hard work, investment, and growth – and having completed several acquisitions – Ravi launched the Grosvenor Health and Social Care Group and has overseen its development into the leading health and social care provider it is today.

With 63 branches, over 6,000 employees, and annual turnover in excess of £85 million, Grosvenor provides services across the length and breadth of England, Scotland and Wales. The Grosvenor Group currently encompasses the brands Sevacare, Balmoral Care, Synergy Homecare, Mayfair Homecare, Care Cymru, Rainbow Services and Meridian Health and Social Care.

The high quality of its services and exemplary regulatory compliance levels led to its successes being highlighted in the 2018 Parliamentary review on the sector.

Liberty Support

Building on the success of Grosvenor, and recognising the shortage of high-quality learning disabilities and mental health support in the Midlands, in 2016 Ravi launched Liberty Support Services. Alongside proudly achieving consistently high ratings from the care regulator, and having built an exceptional reputation for quality outcomes amongst it’s Commissioner partners, Liberty Support is also one of the fastest growing social care organisations in the country. Having started as a single office, the specialist care business now works nationally, with further new services due to open throughout 2020. Conservative estimates predict a trebling of EBITDA within the next three years demonstrating both and demand for Ravi’s approach to delivering high quality support, and the entrepreneurial flair and energy that Ravi brings to the company.

Ravi’s contribution to the social care sector has also been recognised by a wealth of awards, including ‘Best Employer’ at the National Care Awards, as well as nine national and regional awards from care related bodies. Most recently, Grosvenor was recognised at the LaingBuisson Awards 2019 as one of the best Home Care providers in the country. His promotion of diversity and championing of his community has also led him to receive Asian Businessman of the Year and Asian Healthcare Business of the Year awards.
